William Ray Kennedy

 November 18, 1951 – July 20, 2025

With deep love & sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Ray on July 20, 2025, in Fountain Hills, Arizona at age 73.

Ray was born on November 18, 1951, in Peninsula, Ohio to James Conger Kennedy and Kathryn Kennedy (Lockert). He grew up on the family apple farm and graduated from Woodridge High School. He began college @ Purdue and completed his degree at the University Of Akron.

Ray spent his career in the gas pipeline industry, where he took pride in leading projects, and mentoring others. He was known as a strong, steady presence, respected for his expertise.

He found joy spending time with family and in nature. A passionate fly fisherman, Ray also loved golfing, boating, grilling, and sharing laughs with those close to him. After retiring, he moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Ray is survived by his wife, Lana (Johnson) Kennedy; his sons James and David; his brother, Jim; and sister Ginny.

A “Celebration of Life” was held
